The association is the local branch of the Conservative Party and it’s objectives are:
-
To promote the policies and values of the Conservative Party in the South East Cornwall constituency.
-
To provide an effective campaigning organisation to secure the return of Conservative candidates at elections.
-
To contribute funds to Central Office. Fund raising is therefore a crucial activity of the association.
South East Cornwall constituency takes in the towns of Torpoint, Saltash, Looe, Callington, Fowey and Lostwithiel. Being a largely rural constituency it covers many and widespread villages and hamlets. There are approximately 81,000 voters coming from just under 40,000 homes.
The Association has a growing membership of some 627 currently fully paid-up members. These members are largely gathered into branches, each under the control of its own committee who are in turn responsible to the Association. To see a list of branches and contacts click on the link on the left of this page.
The Association is governed by the Executive Council comprising of the Management Team together with a representative from each branch and the Conservative Clubs. The day to day administration of the Association is carried out by the Management Team.
