Sheryll Murray selected for South East Cornwall At a meeting last night (30th October 2006) of around 70 party members at Liskeard Town Hall, Sheryll Murray was selected as the Parliamentary Spokesman to fight the next General Election for the Conservative Party.
Conservatives in the South East Cornwall constituency opted to select using the Big Event method. This was the first such meeting in Cornwall under the party’s new selection guidelines.
Sheryll says “ I am proud to have been given the opportunity to represent the Conservative Party and I am looking forward to the challenge of fighting the South East Cornwall seat. My campaign begins now. I want to help the people of South East Cornwall and no problem is too large or small for me to offer assistance. It is time for South East Cornwall to be taken seriously in Westminster and I intend to bring issues to the attention of our Shadow Team. Only the official opposition are taken seriously by the Government.”
